Jankov kamen

A viewpoint at 1,833 m

The highest peak of Golija and of all southwestern Serbia. From the wooden lookout on the summit the view stretches to Kopaonik, Zlatibor and even the mountains of Montenegro. A marked hiking trail leads to the top, most of the way also passable by gravel road.

Odvraćenica

A view that takes your breath away

A plateau above 1,500 metres and the heart of winter Golija. It hosts a ski slope with a lift, while in summer Odvraćenica is the starting point of some of the most beautiful hiking and cycling tours. The air here is officially among the cleanest in Serbia.

Studenica Monastery

The spiritual heart of Golija

Founded by Stefan Nemanja in the 12th century, Studenica is the most important Serbian medieval monastery, protected by UNESCO since 1986. Its white marble Church of the Virgin guards priceless frescoes. The monastery lies in the Studenica river valley on the northeastern slopes of Golija.

Izubra Waterfalls

A hidden gem of nature

Three waterfalls of the Izubra river hidden in the dense forest of a nature reserve. A marked trail through the canyon leads to them — an adventure of wooden bridges, rock crossings and, for the bravest, a dip in the icy pools. One of Golija's finest surprises.
