Golija Trail 28K — Premium

For the fourth time, on Mount Golija, in the tourist settlement of ODVRAĆENICA, the GOLIJA Trail is being organized – a mountain running race through the unforgettable landscapes of Mount Golija.

The organizers of this race are the RAS Mountaineering and Ecological Association, the Tourist Organizations of Novi Pazar, Ivanjica, and Raška, along with partners from the Association of Golija Mountain Enthusiasts.

Course
This year, we have prepared three courses for mountain runners:

1. Long course – 22 km

2. Short course – 9 km

3. Children's course – 4 km

The courses pass through beautiful Golija landscapes, combining forest roads, gravel roads, and forest trails with very little asphalt at the beginning and end of the route.

Start Package
For all participants on the long and short courses, we have prepared start packages included with the registration fee, which include a finisher's medal, a dry-fit race T-shirt, refreshments at aid stations, a meal at the finish line, and gifts from our sponsors. For the children's course (since there is no registration fee), the start package does not include a T-shirt, but does include a finisher's medal and refreshments at the start/finish line.

How to get to Odvraćenica?
Odvraćenica is a tourist destination on Mount Golija, located closest to Novi Pazar and Raška.

Arriving from the direction of Kraljevo is best via the town of Raška, where a new and well-maintained asphalt road leads you through the villages of Trnava and Kuti, so after about 32 km from Raška, you arrive at Odvraćenica.

From the direction of Novi Pazar, via the villages of Deževa, Kovačevo, and Šaronje, you also arrive at Odvraćenica after about 30 km.

There is also a way to come from Ivanjica, but some sections of the road are still unfinished, so you will drive on gravel.

From Sjenica, there is an option to come via the so-called Golija Road, which you join just before Duga Poljana and drive about 30 kilometers through the locality of Preko brdo and beneath Jankov kamen.

Race Start and Start Package Pickup?
The start of the long and short courses is on September 5 at 10:00 AM, while the children's race starts at 10:30 AM. All three courses are circular, so the start and finish are at the same location. At that spot, there is a large forestry house, where start package pickup will be organized the evening before the race, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and on the day of the race from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM.
