Viewpoints of Mount Golija

Golija is known for its viewpoints. On this tour, you will have the opportunity to visit four of its interesting locations that offer excellent views towards Montenegro, the Pešter plateau, and Mount Rogozna. This light hiking tour begins at Odvraćenica, at our info board where we introduce you to the site you are at. From there, the hike starts and lasts about 4–5 hours, and this time includes breaks for enjoyment, photography, and tasting mountain water from one of the springs we will encounter along the way. The plan is to visit 4 beautiful viewpoints and enjoy the views towards Montenegro, Pešter, and Rogozna... and if the weather is kind to us, we will also see the Komovi mountains standing out from the sea of Montenegrin peaks. During our walk, you will get to know Golija, its plant and animal life, and the legends that have been told here for centuries. You will learn what the saying "Ne zna Golija šta je delija" (Golija doesn't know what a hero is) means, and you might even spot traces of foxes, wolves, and bears. Our tour also includes a small traditional meal in nature, as well as a wealth of interesting information about Golija that will help you in further exploring it. The tour is not difficult, but hiking shoes or boots are recommended, along with a backpack containing some snacks, a water bottle, and a mandatory raincoat because the weather on Golija is deceptive and changeable. The tour is ideal for families with children, but also for all other nature enthusiasts who can experience the beauty of Golija with minimal effort.
